Salon International at the Greenhouse Gallery
I am delighted and honored to have two of my paintings chosen for the prestigious and competitive Salon International at the Greenhouse Gallery in San Antonio. This is the sixth year I have exhibited in this show featuring artists from all over the world. This is the first painting selected, “Ginger Jar.” I will post the second painting soon.
The Opening Reception will be Saturday, April 14 from 10 a.m. till 8 p.m. The show continues to hang till May 4. I’d love for you to see it! The Greenhouse Gallery is right next-door to the Marion Koogler McNay Museum, 6496 N. New Braunfels Ave. San Antonio, TX.
Hope you can make it!
Zinnias for the New Year!
Here is my Happy New Year Painting. The zinnias are dancing in color and light, and I love blue and white china. You can view the original at Salon 4001 at Duval and 40th, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 – 6. About 12 of my paintings are on display and for sale there.
New paintings at Salon 4001
For an inspired and special Christmas gift, consider one of my small paintings on display now at Salon 4001, at 4001 Duval ( just two blocks north of 38th, in Hyde Park ). I am displaying ten of my floral still lifes. This painting is one of several small but powerful little gems at very affordable prices at the hair salon of my friends Deborah and Carol. They take pride in exhibiting art, and welcome viewers.
You don’t have to get a haircut, but might be tempted, because these ladies are the best!
New painting from Robert A. Johnson workshop
I studied with master painter, Robert A. Johnson, last week in Fredericksburg. Here is one of my paintings from that workshop. Johnson is a real specialist in roses, and I picked up some “petal” techniques from him. It was very rewarding and affirming to paint with him. He is one of the best teachers ever.
